Happy Birthday to Clay!

We celebrated by meeting some friends at Pirate Island Pizza for cake, ice cream and pizza. I attempted to make a golf ball cake, and there's a reason I did not include a photo of that beauty. I am so lucky to be married to this wonderful man. He treats me way better than I deserve at all time. Love him!
And here's the latest belly photo. I am so excited our little girl is due in less than 4 weeks. It's been fun to feel some "practice" contractions and to have my midwife check me and say I'm progressing really well. My last day of full-time work was yesterday - and that is also making the whole baby thing seem so soon. We CAN'T wait to meet her! Nursery updates to come ...

Oh, Baby, Baby

Two of my BFFs, Mollie and Karlee, threw me a baby shower. The food and decorations were perfect (that's just how Mollie and Karlee roll) and the company was even better. Thank you, friends for showering me with love and gifts!

Why do I love Cornbelly's?
Because ...
  • It is a yearly tradition for Clay and I.

  • It is a celebration of all things fall and Halloween.

  • Pig races. Enough said.

  • Hay rides and hot cocoa.

  • Footlong corn dogs. Yes, I am a closet corndog lover. I only indulge about once a year.

  • Racing around a gravel track on weird bike things.

  • The Creature

  • Getting frustrated in the corn maze. It's the least fun part of Cornbelly's, I think. In three years, we have never made it through that thing.
See you next year, Cornbelly's!

A little bit of Arizona.

One of the best decisions Clay and I made this fall was to visit my sister Jen, her hubby Mike, and their two cute kids who we love like our own. Here are a few snapshots of the joy we had while visiting the cactus state.

Clay is imitating the human-like cactus in the background. See the resemblance?
Yeah — he's gonna be a good dad.

Lovin' me some palm trees
The 80 + degree weather made this bike ride a no-brainer.
Hugging baby Kate after a fine swaddling lesson from Jen. This baby loves being in her "burrito." I love her and all her fat rolls!

Crib Notes

Here's a little sneek peek of baby girl's nursery. I love the color.
Casey and Jeff's cute twins did the honor of being the first to test out the crib.

And now, off to Arizona to see them:

And to squish her:
