Pullin' a Provo

My little sister, Haley, who is at UVU right now, introduced me to the above phrase when she jokingly said she and a boy she's dating are going to have their first kiss at the altar.

I've been "Pullin' a Provo" for the past 10 years. But the other night, Clay and I pulled one big time when we finally hiked the Y for the first time after these 10 years of living here!

Haley stayed with Ellie and we headed up the mountain at 8:30 pm.

You didn't think we forgot our headlamps, now did you?
I know, I know. We look like major nerds. We embraced the nerdiness with our awkward expressions.

Sittin' on the Y at the end of a very steep hike

I felt very accomplished after checking "Hike the Y" off of our eternal to-do in Provo list.
I highly recommend hiking it at night. The view as you hike and especially one you reach the top is pretty incredible.

So there's snow up there? I never hiked to the Y, but I cheered for it alot. Ah, the good old days ;)

Look at you two go! I have to admit I never hiked the Y until after I graduated too. Better late than never :)

I've never done it at night. It looks like fun. You guys are so spontaneous, I don't think Steve and I would ever be cool enough to just up and hike the Y one night. It doesn't help that I'm a scaredy cat and would probably whine about mountain lions jumping out of the trees at night to get me.
