I made some resolutions on New Year's Eve, and decided to go public with them this year to make me more accountable and so I can review how I did with them next year. Plus, winning this got me extra motivated! Here goes:
- Eat At least 5 full servings of fruits and vegetables every day. Thank goodness for green smoothies.
(I know the recommendation is 10, but I've gotta start small.)
- Work out 6 days a week for at least 30 minutes (and ideally go to couple of one-hour gym classes per week).
- Go to the temple once a month with Clay.
- Gospel study every day.
-FHE every Monday night (This has been a tough one with our small family. Tips?)
- Make a conscious effort every day to be a more positive person.
I have a lot more goals, but I think I'll start here. Good luck to us all!

Hey! Such a good idea, I should post mine too- get some accountability going. I also resolved to do FHE every monday and so far so good. Go to the distribution center and get the "Behold your Little ones" manual (like 4-5 dollars). Its the nursery lesson manual that the church uses, and the lessons are already set for Carson and Ellie's age. You have to come up with an activity and treat though (if you want to do something other than color every week). It has helped me though to have something quick to turn to. Keep it up girl!
We have yet to have FHE, so I need some help too. It's hard because Trav works late on Mondays and doesn't get home until after Beck is asleep...I guess I could just do it myself? Or we could do it another night?? Great goals though, I can't imagine ever getting 10 servings of fruits or veggies?!
I will be checking this frequently for the FHE tips. I need them.
Kate thanks for the nursery manual idea -- that's genius! I found the manual online (it's here for you others looking for it: http://lds.org/manual/behold-your-little-ones-nursery-manual?lang=eng) so I will start doing that. And Karlee, Clay and I do Sunday night for FHE then the activity Monday. That's how I grew up doing it and it seems to work well.
I did the Nursery manual too to start off with :) Now that Jenna is in Sunbeams I also try to incorporate the Primary Theme - Choose the right. You can check out the outline for sharing time here: http://lds.org/service/serving-in-the-church/primary/sharing-time-2012?lang=eng
That has good ideas too. Also just as an extra I have found that doing role play with their soft toys really helps to teach principles like sharing etc. Hope these ideas help!!!
